This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: There's more animation frames for the back sprites in the June builds, but it's currently unknown how to extract them/find them in the source. Figure out how to do so, then compare them here.

Scratchpad palette file contains two alternate palettes, which change the color of his robes, hair, and psychic energy. The blue psychic energy design was also considered during the development of HGSS, but ultimately was dropped again. The June 27th sprite has a literal one pixel difference to the final, on his pants.
