In 2016 an in development build of a cut Left 4 Dead campaign called 'Dam it' was leaked. This campaign was set between Dead Air and Blood Harvest and was meant to bridge the gap between them. It was developed by Turtle Rock Studios, the original Left 4 Dead developers. The campaign's tag is: "Buried by the Flood"

While this particular map wasn't included in the base game, a skybox called highrise_hdr exists in the game files, also known as docks_hdr. The map takes place in a Skyscraper located in an urban environment known as Union Tower. The map consists of a lobby with a few accessible floors. Calling the elevator summons the Horde. The tower appears to have housed a community judging by the banners. There is a crashed helicopter in the roof suspended from cables.
Highrise was originally the finale of a cancelled River campaign. The River campaign's first two maps were repurposed as the Sacrifice.
Curiously this location is referenced in an unused graffiti from the L4D2 SDK.
