The results of outsourcing firm TOSE getting a little creative freedom and teaming up with Nintendo. The series features Starfy, the prince of Pufftop, who has traits of both a star and a starfish but is considered by the developers to be neither. The series remained exclusive to Japan until the fifth entry, The Legendary Starfy, which got an English release.
