This page details bugs of Super Mario Bros. 2 (Famicom Disk System).

Letter Desync#

The IRQ used for the scroll split between the status bar and the rest of the screen fires too early, which normally goes unnoticed because the numerical tiles are 7 pixels tall. However, the alphabetical tiles are 8 pixels tall, which causes the last row of pixels on the world number to scroll with the rest of the screen when in Worlds A-D.

This bug is not present in the Famicom Mini series release for Game Boy Advance, or on the 3DS and Wii U Virtual Console releases.
