This page details bugs of Grand Theft Auto V.
Main Game
Weapon Bugs#
Guns Lose Their Silencer In Certain Vehicles#
When using weapons whilst driving some vehicles, the weapon loses its silencer attachment. This causes the silenced weapon to look and sound like a non-silenced weapon. Weirdly enough, the game still treats the weapon as silenced. This bug does not occur when driving a motorcycle or a bike. Watch on YouTube
Shooting Through Corners#
When shooting at certain angles relative to other objects, the bullets fired from the gun will go through objects/walls. Watch on YouTube
UI Bugs#
Ghost Subtitles#
Due to dialogue becoming less audible when further away, when the player travels really fast by certain NPC's, a subtitle will show up without the dialogue being heard by the player. In all cases the audio still plays, but is way too soft to be heard.
One way to get this subtitle bug is by driving really fast past someone who talks when you get close, like Barry or some other Strangers & Freaks.
In this YouTube video example, a very small portion of the dialogue can still be heard when listening very closely. Watch on YouTube
NPC Bugs#
NPC's Shooting Less During Game Slowdown#
When the game slowdown effect is active, for whatever reason NPC's shoot less. The amount of shooting NPC's will still do during game slowdown is FPS dependent. With higher fps resulting in almost no gun fire taking place. Watch on YouTube
NPC Flickering#
Exact cause of this issue is unknown as of right now. Something that is known for certain is that when this flickering occurs, said NPC is trying to target an entity that doesn't exist. It mostly triggers when the player kills a character that was being targeted by another NPC. Watch on YouTube
Glitched Character Spawning#
On first-gen releases of the game, there was a bug that allowed the player to glitch out Michael's safe-house, which caused a bunch of character models to spawn inside of the home. Watch on YouTube
