Anti-Piracy#

This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: Check for any other side-effects.

As with most of the games Konami has published after 1990, this game features a copy-protection routine. The game checks for the string "© 1993 k" in VRAM, and sets a flag if the test fails. If the flag is set, any damage the player receives is increased by 50%.

Regional Differences#

The Acid Rain Forest Stage on the map screen has moved from South America in the US version to West Europe in the European version. This may have been done to increase the message of environmentalism in the European version.
