Watch_Dogs 2 (Windows) Watch_Dogs 2 is the sequel to the 2014 game, Watch Dogs, and was released to critical acclaim and praise by fans, mainly due to it's improved mechanics of the first game, and long requested fan-features like 4-player Co-Op.

Unused Vehicles#

To do:
There are more, such as convertible variants, police vehicles, lots of helicopters, etc.

Helicopters#

Helicopters are a completely unused vehicle type, despite being (mostly, keyword mostly) finished.

Watch on YouTube

There are 2 helicopters set-up for player use that can be modded back into the game, and do not function on Keyboard + Mouse, however these work properly with Controller.

Controls are as follows:

LS - Move
RS - Look
LT - Lower / Descend
RT - Raise / Ascend

Without modifications, the camera of these vehicles will get stuck at a random point under the map due to incomplete Camera Data, however to other players you will be perfectly fine.

Bicycle#

A bike that works exactly like the normal bicycles and motorcycles do, uses electric vehicle sounds for its engine, and has no horn, or textures.

Holding Shift causes the vehicle to go into Nitro Mode, but does nothing.

Police Motorcycle#

Going into the profiler data shows that there was once a Police Motorcycle planned, but was subsequently scrapped, this also lines up with a equally as unused police helmet.

Utah Teapot#

A vehicle seemingly used for testing, the car body is of a Utah Teapot, with the wheels being lids, and when it's night time, the vehicle goes from being rainbow, to neon white.

Strangely, while this vehicle is referred to internally as a ctOS Van, it uses the animations of a convertible vehicle.

Unused Music#

To do:
Upload the rest of the game's unused music, and organise this list better.

This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: Find out which these songs are licensed - at least one track comes from the Extreme Music stock music library.

The san_francisco_sound.dat contains several music tracks which are unused in the game:

  • Push it to the Limit by Paul Engemann:

Inaccessible Map Areas#

  • Hidden Tidis Room:
  • Inaccessible Oakland construction site:

Unused Mechanics#

Hollywood Camera Mode#

"Hollywood" is a fifth camera mode leftover in the game files, which behaves like the GTA V CCTV Camera mode, pulling the camera extremely far back compared to the other view modes.

This mode is also leftover in Watch Dogs, and it’s unknown if they meant to bring it back for this game, or if it is also just one of the many, many leftovers from that game.

Unused Robot Hacks#

There are two robot hacks that are leftover, but do nothing, these being "Repulsor" and "Alarm", Repulsor has leftover data for insulting/harassing NPCs as they walk by, causing them to walk away, which is used on other electronic devices throughout the game.

Unused NPC Models#

  • Unused model for Shaun, a character from the mission "Hollow Pundits":
  • Unused Umeni PMC Model:
This model was also going to be used in the "Hollow Pundits" mission.

Cut Mission#

There is a cut mission from the game which was called "Hollow Pundits". A lot of content remains for it in the files.

Watch Dogs Leftovers#

Pretty much the entire arsenal from Watch Dogs is leftover, including some smaller things like assets, and vehicles.
