This is a sub-page of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos.

Abomination#

The Abomination has an alternative unused death sound. This seems to be tied to a cut ability of his that let him explode, dealing damage. He also an unused exploding animation.

Ancestral Guardian#

All related soundfiles to the cut Ancestral Guardian were left unused in the final game. These were later reused for the Serpent Ward in the Expansion Pack.

Footman

If our town comes under attack, a militia can be summoned by ringing the bell on the town hall. The peasants will run to the town center and arm themselves for battle.

Human Mission Four#

Jaina was planned to die at the hand of ghouls in this mission and later turn into a banshee. It was scrapped as Arthas had more than enough reasons to go after Mal'Ganis. The banshee idea was later given to Sylvanas. The Official Strategy Guide wasn't changed to reflect the new storyline.
All of these are said by Arthas.

H04Arthas17.mp3

I'll tell you all about it later.

H04Arthas19.mp3

This looks like some kind of Gateway. I bet Jaina would know how to activate it.

No Gateways appear in this mission in the final game.

H04Arthas21.mp3

No simple cult could've built this.

Perhaps referring to the Gateway.

Human Mission Six#

Several unused voicelines of villagers panicking and begging for Mercy were removed from the mission due to the disturbing delivery of these lines.

Mortar Team#

Sound effect for Self-Destruct, the Mortar Team's original ability. It's a suicide attack similar to the Demolition Squad's from Warcraft II. The Flare ability on the other hand was for the Rifleman.

Tichondrius#

Tichondrius has a unique voice set. Despite the prominent role he plays in the story (appearing in all but one campaign), he's never available for the player to control. This is unusually strange, because characters you're never meant to control barely have any voice lines outside of the story. Perhaps at one point during development, you were meant to get your hands on this cunning Dreadlord.

Part of a running in-game joke that refers to Darkness as an individual.

Slave Master#

The Slave Master (named Mathog in the World Editor) fought exclusively in the first Human chapter has a unique voice set not heard anywhere, since he's never available for you to control. Much like his model, his voice set is taken from the cut Warlord hero.
