Turtle Ship

Turtle Ship is a rather mediocre shooter that has absolutely no turtles whatsoever. What it does have is grating music, stolen arcade hardware, and a boss pretty much ripped directly from R-Type.

Yes, really.

To do:
The "older" Korea set has lots of changes to document, including:

  • Different player and enemy projectile appearances
  • The player's secondary missile behaving differently (arching downward at an angle instead of firing directly forward)
  • Different stage order
  • No PRESS START BUTTON or PLAYER 1/PLAYER 2 text upon inserting a credit
  • Probably more

There might also be further differences across the other versions as well that I don't know yet.

Aside from the logo change, the US and Japanese versions add a fancy graphic crediting their respective publishers. The Japanese version also changes the CREDIT text from red to blue, for some reason.

The "older" Korea version also has the CREDIT text in blue, in addition to the INSERT COIN text being a couple pixels higher.
