They Are Billions

Various Oddities#

When running one of the game's world files through a decryption engine, a message appears:

Game data files are corrupted, please reinstall the game.

This notice is odd, considering that the game still runs perfectly fine afterwards, without any bugs or difficulties normally associated with a corrupted game. However, when one attempts to actually load the decrypted world file, another message appears:

This file is unsupported because it is either an old game file or has been edited in a external engine.

This notice is also peculiar, since old game files can be loaded and played with minimal/no bugs. This message seems to be made specifically to prevent modded/edited world files from being loaded into the game. Huh.

The game also uses .DXSOUND files for audio. This file format is actually identical to the .ogg file format. The naming convention prevents users from editing/using sound files (since no .DXSOUND reader programs exist), though renaming a file by adding a .ogg suffix converts the file seamlessly into a usable format.
