Ghoul#

There are several unused textures of an unused enemy named Ghoul. Those are actually remnants of a monster that was meant to appear in Frogware's previously-cancelled Lovecraftian game Call of Cthulhu which was eventually given to another studio while Frogware went on to evolve their original ideas to what became The Sinking City.
Unused Items#
Items#
Camera Roll#
Location: Game\Art_Asset\Gameplay\GP_Camera_Roll\Meshes
A pickup object of a camera rolls, likely intended for the camera the players could use to take pictures of objects of evidence and other objects in the world. This suggests that the camera was at one point going to have limited rolls and players would've had to be more calculated in the way they'd take pictures.
Harpoon Ammo#
Location: Game\Art_Asset\Gameplay\GP_Harpoon_Rifle\Meshes
Similarly to the camera, it seems that the Harpoon Rifle from the diving certion was also simplified during development, as there is an unused ammo pick up for it suggesting it was also going to have limited resources.
Harpoon Ammo 2#
Location: Game\Art_Asset\Gameplay\GP_Harpoon_Rifle\Meshes
Another model for the harpoon ammo pickups, which might likely be for the flare shots it has. Like the normal harpoons, the players can also fire unlimited amount of flares in the final game.
Harpoon Rifle Pickup#
Location: Game\Art_Asset\Gameplay\GP_Harpoon_Rifle\Meshes
An unused pickable harpoon rifle that could be picked up by the player. In the final game the harpoon rifle gets automatically unlocked and equipped by the player upon starting a diving certion.
Camera Pickup#
Location: Game\Animation_Asset\Items\Weapons\Camera\Mesh
An unused pickable version of the camera. In the final game, the camera is unlocked from the start and has unlimited camera rolls.
Weapons#
Two unused weapons were found in the folder that contains all the ones available to the player.
Colt M1877#
Location: Game\Animation_Asset\Items\Weapons\Colt\Mesh
An unfinished weapon for a Colt M1877 handgun. It is possible that it was replaced by either the revolver which has similar design or the handgun which is a Colt M1911
Parent Weapon#
Location: Game\Animation_Asset\Items\Weapons\Parent_Weapon\Mesh
A debug weapon that was likely used as the base for the handguns in the game.
Unused Cinematics#
Inside the game's cinematics directory is a folder named "Insanity", which contains several unused video files titled "Insanity Reality Breach".
Majority of those videos are segmants from existing cinematics in the game as well as trailers, but "RealityBreachMedia 4" features an entirely new scene which is never shown in the final game or any of its trailers.
Unused Sounds#
Camera#
An unused no flash sound of the camera is present in the files, yet in the final game the camera always uses a flash when taking a photo. This suggests that the player might've had the option to toggle the flash on or off when taking photos.
Camera No Flash#
Harpoon Rifle#
The harpoon rifle has several sounds for "dry shots" of both its harpoon and flare modes. "Dry Shot" is how blank, no-ammo shots are named in the game files. This matches the unused ammo pickup items in which the players were able to run out of ammo for the harpoon rifle as opposed to the final game in which the harpoon rifle has unlimited ammo.

Furthermore, there are also sounds for picking up the unused harpoon ammo pickups and the pickable harpoon rifle listed in the unused items section.
