Magic Shiny Bag#
The Japanese version has an item called the Magic Shiny Bag, which is obtained by Dabas during the first meeting at Volcano Villude. The item allows the player to play "MooGoru Dabas", a PocketStation mini-game. However, the device's Japan-only release caused the item to go unused. However, it can be obtained by hacking, and its description in the Goods submenu reads, "Dabas forced him. Seems useless, but kept as a memento." Curiously, the game's Strategy Guide erroneously states that the item can be obtained. Guess they didn't get the memo.

Regional Differences#
The game received some changes in its international version:
- The PocketStation mini-game "MooGoru Dabas" was removed. The mini-game involved collecting gold and items, which could be transferred into the game. To compensate for the mini-game's removal, most enemies now drop three times more gold.
- Most enemies have reduced HP, and some now give more experience when defeated.
- Magic and items now deal more damage.
- Rosa's Demon Gate attack was changed in the international versions to spew out black blood instead of red blood as depicted in the Japanese version.
