Unused Graphics#

Expecting a Grand Dad joke? Nah, not feeling like it.Yapper dapper doo.

Fred Flintstone! He appeared in the Botanical Garden stage in the prototype, referencing the plot of and acting as an inversion of George Jetson's cameo in The Flintstones: The Rescue of Dino and Hoppy, but he was for some reason cut from the final game; perhaps Taito's Flintstones license had temporarily expired or they hadn't gotten proper clearance to use him? Of note is that the prototype's title screen copyright text also mentions The Flintstones, with the final text having a noticeable gap where it once used to be. Despite these graphics remaining, his dialogue is not present in the ROM.

Level Select#

In the US and European versions, Game Genie code VOOOGONU enables a level select.

Note: Do not select CHRSET, otherwise the game will lock up. The reason for this is because selecting it causes the code to jump to $6000, which is the beginning of SRAM/WRAM. However, this cart has none, and the game never attempts to write to it. A ROM chip or other device most likely occupied this space during development.
