The Bard's Tale (PlayStation 2, Xbox, Windows)

The Bard's Tale is a remake of the original Bard's Tale games (in name only, due to legal disputes and InXile not actually owning the rights to anything Bard's Tale related, meaning they couldn't use any of the characters or locations). Unlike its predecessors, its appearance and gameplay is more like that of the Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance series, and has a much more comedic demeanor in general.

Debug Mode#

This needs some investigation. Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page. Specifically: Properly document this, as there's not much info on these debug menus. There are also apparently some unused maps you can go to along with names for deleted test maps, but the videos showing these off have been deleted of course.

A debug menu featuring a level select can be accessed on all versions using button combinations. Accessing said menu requires unlocking all levels with a different code first. The unlock all levels code will be listed first, followed by the debug mode code.

• PlayStation 2: Hold L1 + R1 and press Right, Right, Up, Down, Up, Down. Then activate the debug menu by holding L2 or R2 and press Right.
• Xbox: Hold L + R and press Right, Right, Up, Down, Up, Down. Then hold the White or Black button and press Right.
• Windows: Hold Shift and press Right, Right, Left, Left, Up, Down, Up, Down (arrow keys). Then hold Shift and press the Left, Right, and Up arrows at the same time.
