Rather amusingly, both games were released on the same day, and share the same sound staff. And yes, that means it does include the awful instrumentation.
Fortunately, a semi-port of this game ended up on the Famicom just under a month later, changing gameplay elements and fixing up the music.
Hidden Menu#
At the Irem logo screen, quickly press A 10 times. Then at the character select, hold A+B and press Start for a hidden menu containing a sound test and level select.
