TV Show King is a quiz game that was a launch title for the WiiWare service.
Unused Models#
wheelbase.brres#
Found in wheelbase.brres is an unused version of the wheel shell.
hand.brres#
Found in hand.brres is a model of a hand and a texture for a full character (likely carried over from a previous game, as the texture does not fit with the rest of the game's art style). The hand has a singular "grab" animation.

Unused Scenes#
|
|
To do: |
data/3d/scenes contains multiple "scenes" that go unused in the final game.
first_ranking_menu#
This scene contains several models and textures from an earlier version of the game's menu. This is backed up by concept art from the game's lead 2D artist. 1 Oddly, most of these textures also show up in ranking_menu/export/ranking_menu_res.brres.
export/bg/first_ranking_menu_bg.brres#
export/buttons/first_ranking_menu_button_idle.brres#
Unused Textures#
Various TV Screen Textures#
TvSpEvent.brtex#
An unused texture. Its filename suggests it would have been used for the special events that occur during rounds.
Two textures are present in menu_tv_screen.brres that go unused.
Leftover Debug/Cheat Functions#
|
|
This needs some investigation. |
check_cheat.graphml#
data/automat/check_cheat.graphml contains instructions related to debug functionality, such as skipping to the ending sequence, forcing a question to start, or toggling difficulty. However, it is unknown if these functions still work in the final game.
Constants#
constants.bin contains source code remnants, likely accidentally left in the build.
Internal Project Name#
The game's project name is "GS" (game show), based on leftover strings in the main executable.
