Sword of Fargoal is a primitive roguelike, where the objective is to steal the named sword.
Developer Message#
Sword of Fargoal has a countermeasure to prevent peeking at its source code. In the Commodore Basic prompt, type LOAD "FARGOAL",8, then LIST. This will display the following text in white:
SWORD —— BY JEFF MCCORD
YOU WILL HAVE TO TOP THAT TOBY!!After the message, the textcolor changes to blue, matching the default background color. Further text (including user input) is invisible until this is handled.
