Unused Characters#

Kirsty in a White Outfit#

Hidden 3 times in the savedata.dat file, at (hex locations of USA/European file) 0x7701E (character slot 0x0324), 0x7712E (character slot 0x0325), and 0x7723E (character slot 0x0326), there's an unused character who appears to be Kirsty, but has different eyebrows, blonde hair, and is wearing an outfit consisting of items from different brands.

Regional Differences#

To do:
Someone needs to get their hands on a Japanese copy, the European and American releases are practically the same game, save for a few things.

In the European release, the player can choose between using the Euro, the Pound or the Dollar as their in-game currency, whilst in the US release, they are locked to only the Dollar.
In the European and US versions several characters were given darker skin-tones than the Japanese version. This change was done very haphazardly and several characters who are supposed to be siblings now have wildly differing skin tones.

DLC#

The European and Japanese versions have exclusive items and brands not found in the US version.
The European and Japanese versions add a single brand, while the Japanese version adds 5 more brands.

The single brand in both versions is PINK-latte.

Three of the 6 brands in the Japanese version are:

Seven Eleven

The three-colored striped socks, hat, and stripe-trimmed white dress from Seven Eleven have been moved to Marzipan Sky in the US and European versions.

Revisional Differences (Japan only)#

Changes made in Rev 3 (v1.2.0).

Chic Shop Exterior Border model (SO_WAL_14_A)#

In background.cpk, the SO_WAL_14_A file is 2KB larger with unknown differences.

Small Mannequin and Hanger icons#

In thumbnail.cpk, files ID41000 and ID41001 contained images of gray boxes. The revision has replaced them with mannequin and hanger icons, respectively.

amiibo.cpk#

Files named AMB_read_nfc_rw_t and AMB_read_nfc_rw_u have been added.
