This is a sub-page of Starfield.
Unused settlements#
There are remnants of four unused settlements in the game, all of which were unfinished or removed. Dialogue for all the major companions exists, and was intended to play when visiting the location for the first time.
Azure Brook Farms#
Azure Brook Farms was a farm planned to appear on Jemison in Alpha Centauri, the same planet on which New Atlantis is located. It is not clear where exactly on the planet the farm would be situated, however. There are barely any remnants of this settlement other than the location reference itself (SettleAzureBrooksFarm), the companion arrival dialogue, and a condition form to trigger the dialogue (COM_CND_DIAL_Arrival_Loc_AzureBrookFarms).
- Unused companion dialogue
The companions speak highly of the location, acknowledging the wealth and prosperity of the farm. The farm was evidently intended to be fully automated by robots.
- Sarah Morgan: Now this place... this looks nice. I could see myself retiring to somewhere like this one day.
- Barrett: Hmm. Even the quaintest little places have their own fascinating stories.
- Andreja: The UC is fortunate to have robots to do their farming. Very efficient.
- Sam Coe: This place looks awfully prosperous.
Chandra Vineyard#
The eponymous vineyard for Chandra Wine, a brand of beverage that can be found in the game. It was intended to be situated on Maheo I in the Maheo system, the same planet on which Sonny di Falco's Estate is located, though the precise location is uncertain. There are few remnants of this location. Chandra Vineyards Main House SettleChandraVineyardsMainHouse is a cell for the interior of the only planned building, but is simply an untextured and empty square room. Three static sign objects Sign_ChandraVineyards_01, Sign_ChandraVineyards_02, Sign_ChandraVineyards_03 for the Vineyard also exist, but are entirely unused. Although they feature a completed logo, the sign appears to be using a placeholder font for the text.
An unused faction FC_CV_ChandraVineyardsFaction also exists but has no members. It is possible that the bartender of the Red Mile, Sati Chandra, was intended to be associated with this location, but nothing remains that would tie her to it other than her surname.
- Unused companion dialogue
The companions praise the wine that comes from here. Barrett makes reference to the "prasada berry" that supposedly only grows on Maheo I, but no such flora exists in the game.
- Sarah Morgan: I remember Barrett sharing a bottle of Chandra with me a year ago. Best wine I've ever tasted.
- Barrett: Mm, home of the fragrant prasada berry. You know, they've tried to cultivate that plant off-world but it's just too delicate. Life is like that sometimes.
- Andreja: I have never understood those who claim to be able to discern nuance in the taste of wine. It all tastes very similar to me.
- Sam Coe: If you haven't tried some of the wine here, you are missing out.
Cody's Hill#
A settlement planned for the planet Polvo in the Valo system, the same planet on which HopeTown is located. The precise location is unclear, however. This location seems to have had the most development before being scrapped, having multiple interiors, planned characters, and even a quest.
- Locations
Five unused interior cells exist. They all have partially completed layouts using the Akila City architecture set, but are mostly devoid of furniture and decoration inside.

- NPCs
Several NPCs were planned to reside in this settlement. None of them exist as actors, but some leftover references can be found in the unused cells:
- Bethany and Jim — references can be found in Barton's General Store, so it's possible that "Barton" was meant to be their surname and they were the proprietors.
- Aliza, Chance, and Shane — all have references in the saloon, so were possibly intended to be proprietors or patrons.
- Casey — a reference can be found in McCord's Workshop, so was possibly the "McCord" who owns the workshop.
- Ruiz family — absolutely nothing remains, but a Ruiz family of some kind were intended to reside in the Ruiz House. An NPC called Sofia Ruiz can be found in Deimos Staryards. It's possible that she was intended to be associated with the family in some way.
- Factions
FC_CodysHillFactionFC_CodysHillGenericDialogueFaction
Both factions appear to have been entirely repurposed for the various corpses of pre-deceased NPCs that can be found in the game, as they are all included as the only members alongside the very much alive NPC Grandmother.
- Quest
An unfinished quest called "[LC054 - Cody's Hill]" (LC054) exists and was intended to take place here. It has three quest stages that activate waves of enemies from the North, South, and West of the settlement. It's not clear who or what these enemies were intended to be, however. There are aliases for all the waves, as well as a fourth wave from the East, and an another wave referred to as FirstCavEnemies.

- Unused companion dialogue
The companion dialogue suggests the residents of the settlement shunned technology in favour of older ways of living.
- Sarah Morgan: You've got to admire these people. Living on the fringe of technology like this is a tough choice.
- Barrett: Well. This certainly smells like a farm.
- Andreja: I wonder: who was Cody, and why did he choose this hill?
- Sam Coe: This place has a... colorful history. People here are tough as nails.
Bautista Fellowship#
A cut starstation that would have orbited an unknown planet. There are literally no remnants of this location other than the companion dialogue.
- Unused companion dialogue
From the companion dialogue, we can surmise that the starstation was intended to be a renown institute of science.
- Sarah Morgan: So this is Bautista Fellowship. Matteo told me the Settled System's finest minds flock to this place.
- Barrett: Science nerds! My people!
- Andreja: Having this many scientists in one location seems like something of a security risk to me.
- Sam Coe: A lot of smart folk graduated here. I feel... out of place.
Unused locations#
Jemison#
Apollo Tower, Floor 3#
Editor ID: CityNewAtlantisApartmentApollo01

An apartment belonging to Wendy, a former associate of Ellie Yankton in Gagarin Landing. Originally there was a stage of "Breach of Contract" in which the player had to convince Wendy to return to Gagarin. Wendy still exists as an NPC stored in Holding Cell (Barrett Quest) (BarrettHoldingCell). The apartment shares a similar layout to other apartments in New Atlantis, and appears to be fully completed as it contains full decoration and lighting.
Akila#
Temp Interior#
Editor ID: CityAkilaAggiesOLD
An interior for Aggie's split into its own cell (the final version is contained within the Akila City worldspace). It's simply a partially-built untextured room with absolutely nothing of note. The room is only partially constructed, leaving most of it exposed to the void.
Temp Interior#
Editor ID: CityAkilaMuseumOLD
An old version of the Coe Heritage Museum. It's simply an untextured, square room with absolutely nothing inside.
Locke Gang Hideout#
Editor ID: OLDLC007LockeGangHideout

An early version of the Shaw Gang camp, who were originally called the Locke Gang, situated on Akila. The entrance of the cell is within an air lock, a long cavern leads from the air lock to an odd hexagonal metal bunker. To the side are a series of catwalks that wind through another long, linear cavern, with various small bunkers spread amongst them. Towards the end of the cavern is an unfinished lab, leading to a small pit. Most of the cell is empty, apart from some rocks in the tunnel, and a few crates outside the bunkers. There are spawn locations for Crimson Fleet and Shaw Gang members.
Mars#
CydoniaMainLevel#
Editor ID: CydoniaMainLevelOLD

An older, unfinished version of Cydonia's Central Hub, with lots of missing and placeholder assets. The layout is very different to the final version, with the city much more spread out vertically. The Residential area is contained within this cell and forms the middle level, and the mine area is much smaller. Notably the Broken Spear bar, UC Security office, and the hangar are missing entirely. Placeholder signs indicate there was intended to be an "interfaith chapel" (likely reworked into the Community Center) and an area simply referred to by the abbreviation "DIS".
Volii Alpha#
Euphorika#
Editor ID: CityNeonEuphorikaDisciplesCUT
An almost-fully completed cell that was possibly intended to serve as a hideout for the Disciples gang, much like the Ebbside Strikers are headquartered within Madame Sauvage's Place. There are two large rooms with tech equipment and plants, as well as a tiny storage room at the back. All of the shelves are devoid of items and decoration, suggesting it was awaiting a final art pass before being cut.
Quick Test Cell#
Editor ID: CityNeonTerrabrewCUT

A copy of Neon's Terrabrew Coffee store, but isolated as its own cell, unfinished, and missing a lot of decoration. There are no light sources whatsoever, so it will appear pitch black inside unless viewed in the Creation Kit with lighting toggled off. The cell was most likely used to assemble the interior of the Terrabrew store before implementing it entirely within the Neon Core cell.
Executive House#
Editor ID: NeonExecutiveHouse01CUT

A huge, entirely empty, and peculiar cell. There is a large stairwell that ascends multiple stories. The floor above the entrance contains a very large three-story-high square room. At the very top is a smaller, single-storey square room. The strangest thing about this cell is that it's duplicated so that there are three copies of the entire structure directly next to one another. Each copy has its own numbered entrance door, suggesting the cell was intended to be used to represent three different homes, accessed from different locations. The architecture uses white and grey metal, similar to Benjamin Bayu's Penthouse.
Grath Estate#
Editor ID: NeonGrathEstate01CUT

Another large and completely empty cell, sharing the same architecture as the Executive House. The entrance opens into a spacious hallway with a stairwell. The floor above is a very large, three-storey room. Climbing the stairs to the top leads an equally huge two-storey room. There is an static object sign for this location using placeholder assets, though it is misspelled as "Grathe State"
It's not clear what this cell was intended for, though Libby Grath in Trade Tower: Xenofresh Fisheries may have been the intended occupant. There is also a voice type for an unused NPC called Jared McGrath who may or may not have had some association with the family.
Gagarin#
Arches Overlook Apartment#
Editor ID: SettleGagarinEllieApt

An apartment owned by the lawyer Ellie Yankton. It is fully complete, but inaccessible in the game. It has the same general layout as the nearby Apartment Stack 1, but is much cleaner and has somewhat different decoration. There are markers present that indicate it was going to serve a purpose in the quest "Breach of Contract".
Porrima III#
Red Mile Interior#
Editor ID: SettleRedMileInteriorOLD
An old version of the Red Mile's interior space, split off into its own interior cell (the final version is contained within the exterior world space). Most of the objects seem to have been deleted, leaving only a few odd static objects floating in the void. The doors and control panels for the airlocks are still present, and their close proximity to one another suggests the interior layout was going to be much smaller than in the final version.
