Sift Heads World: Act 1 - Deadly Newcomer is the seventh work of the Sift Heads series and the first work of the Sift Heads World sub-series. This work tells the story of the first official confrontation between the bounty hunters and the Red Mafia. It later reappeared as part of Sift Heads Reborn.

Unused Location#

There is an unused location in the game called "Shanghai, China". This indicates that the bounty hunters were originally scheduled to go to Shanghai, China at some point to have an "adventure".

The ID of the "text" corresponding to this location is 2531. This text is used when flying to a certain location, the game will first display the name of the destination location for a few seconds. The second image marks the location on the in-game map.

Although Shanghai's location text and icons on the map were preserved until Act 6 - Illicit Association, it was never mentioned in any game, nor was there any relevant out-of-game information. This suggests that Pyrozen canceled the Shanghai story later in development considering the very low probability that bounty hunters could casually carry guns on missions in China. There is also another possibility that Pyrozen originally wanted to produce the Shanghai storyline between the expected Acts 8 and 12(The background of Triad and the current situation of Triad after the death of Triad Chief may also be revealed at this time), but after the release of Sift Heads World - The Ultimatum, this storyline was never realized.

Unused Chapter Sequence Numbers#

Pyrozen once planned to make Sift Heads World as a game series with 12 chapters, but they ended up producing only seven chapters. This is evident in Act 1 - Deadly Newcomer, which has all 12 chapter sequences without subtitles added.
