Oh dear, I do believe I have the vapors. |
This is a sub-page of Saints Row (2022).
Homie Icons#
Unused Homie icons for Pierce (ui_homie_pierce) and Shaundi (ui_homie_shaundi), from before the game's new main characters phase. They reuse their real-life artwork from the Saints Row: The Third marketing, likely as a placeholder.
An unused Homie icon for the scrapped protagonist's customizable mother (ui_homie_boss_mom). Her icon is reused from this concept art.
An unused Homie icon for the boss (ui_homie_boss), depicting an earlier design for the preset, with a different hairstyle and face.
An unused Homie icon (ui_homie_snickerdoodle) for...Snickerdoodle? It looks different in design, having different ears and thinner face.
It is worth noting that a quadruped pet recruit was considered, originally as a dog before it was scrapped due to quadrupeds not being programmed properly, until it returned as overworld NPCs in the form of coyotes.
Map Icons#
Discoveries#
An earlier icon for the Photo Discovery icon (map_discoveries_photo). Final uses map_discoveries_photoB, with an image next to the camera.
A scrapped map "Discovery" for a Firetruck (likely the Blaze), instead of appearing as a Side Hustle. They do appear in the final except without hose water.
A discovery icon for snakes, likely for the scrapped Venom Juice diversion. In the final game, the desert of Santo Ileso is a completely snake-free zone.
An icon for dive spots, which may have functioned similar to dumpster diving except in the water.
A scrapped discovery internally called "Fast Identity". Maybe it was to do with credit cards at banks?
An icon for a pole dancer (map_discoveries_stripper), likely intended for the scrapped pole-dancing diversion.
Stores#
An icon for a car garage, according to the filename, rather than a car dealer. The graphic would be used in the V1.2 update, albeit purple.
An icon for a scrapped surgeon store. Likely scrapped in favor of the surgery being easily accessible via the phone.
Icon likely intended for a yard sale store, despite the filename saying "unknown".
UI Graphics#
Early Logo#
An early logo of Saints Row, as ui_dev_launcher_sr5_logo. This is likely from when the Cinco naming was dropped.
Early Loading Crest#
A crest intended for the loading screens.
Early Main Menu#
Found in some .lua and vint.doc files is the early belt buckle logo main menu screen (ui_mm_bg_buckle) from the Saints Row Cinco phase of development.
Early Crib Menu#
A background for the crib menu, likely for the Ventures feature.
The following content is |

Placeholder DLC Thumbnails#
Some placeholder DLC thumbnails, recycled from concept art, but interestingly the top left one shows an unused design.
Shops#
A scrapped outdoor stall for Teabags of London (ui_banner_teabags), which is an actual building in the city.
Multiplayer#
Scrapped graphics for a multiplayer mode (ui_bms_vs).
Selfie Feature#
Cut features of the Selfie mode.
Weapons#
Two slightly filtered graphics of weapons consisting of a gun and...tacos?
Real Estate Phone App#
Cut background for a cut "real estate" phone app, from unreleased concept art. What's most interestingly though is that the scrapped Masako Multinational vehicles can be spotted!
Other#
An unused set of graphics called traffic_stop, with "VIOLATION" and "MOVING" on it. It's likely to do with the police.
Placeholder Graphics#
Placeholder texture (ui_temp_full_screen_texture) for a full screen.
A rather slap-dashed texture for a vehicle logo as ui_vehicle_logo_missing
Placeholder texture for a district banner (ui_temp_district_banner). Strangely, this was removed in an update.
Placeholder textures for a customization (empire_temp_cust_reward) and ability reward (empire_temp_ability_reward) for Empire building.

A rather fancy-looking placeholder logo texture for a store called ui_store_temp_logo_van
A temporary location logo found amongst the graphics for the Map (ui_bms_map). This was removed in an update.
A placeholder texture for an agent (ui_agent_test_portrait), likely an Agents of Mayhem leftover.
Early Perks#
There's a handful of scrapped Perks in this graphic file, including a... peculiar placeholder graphic.
- There's a scrapped Perk for a Human Shield ability, which was likely replaced with a similar one in the final.
- Molotovs were originally going to be in the game as usable weapons, but got scrapped.
