Sure Tecmo Knight is obscure enough, but there's a Tecmo game that is way more obscure (and possibly rare) than it. So, ladies and gentlemen, this is Riot!
Q: What is Riot?
A: Riot is a scrolling shooter.
Q: Does it have any concepts/gimmicks that set it apart from other shooters?
A: Yes. While the other shooters focus solemnly on shooting enemies on the background, this one pits your character in the middle of the screen and you have to shoot enemies on the background and ALSO in the foreground.
Q: Does it have a plot/story?
A: Yes. Here's the plot in short: an evil organization called The Magic Tigers is doing bad stuff, and it's up to you to to bust their plans.
Q: This game was developed by NMK?
A: NO. Everyone thinks that this was developed by NMK, which is plausible as NMK is more recognized as a developer than a publisher, but this was developed by Tecmo and published by NMK.
Q: Did this game got a release?
A: Yes, but very limited. It was location tested in Japan, but never released in that country. Instead, it was released in parts of Asia and (possibly) in Europe and Korea.
