This character dialogue is only seen as text in the final game, however in the games files are several lines of voiced dialogue.
Miner that offers tea
This character does have a piece of audio that is heard early on, but when you return to the caves later to retrieve some tea his voice is not heard. Despite that, it was all recorded and still in the game's files.
Unused cutscene audio
Before talking to Geist Wraith in the second to last cutscene, this audio is found but remains unused. Mail is talking to herself, hoping her companions Tatto and Gaw are safe and thinking about the treasure that may be up ahead. This scene is not animated, but as it uses background music and is placed among other cutscenes, this seems to be a cutscene that got scrapped.
Unused whisper dialogue
The whisper or chatter dialogue is a feature unique to the PC Engine CD version of Popful Mail. You can press a button in the menu to listen to the characters thoughts about their current situation. A total of 48 lines are unused.
