pop'n music 3 Append Disc (PlayStation) The first of two pop'n music Append Disc releases, which require pop'n music 2 to boot. Was also released for the Dreamcast.

Ranking Screen#

At 0x1FEC800 is a package containing graphics seen in the name entry and ranking screens. Found within the genre tile graphics seen in the latter (and also in the total results screen), there are several blank entries; two in the Stage 1 sheet (Bit of Love and ENDLESS SUMMER NUDE), one in the Stage 2 sheet (LET ME FEEL SO HIGH), and another one in the Hyper sheet (Surechigau futari).

Results Screen#

As a result of the graphics for the genres seen in the results screen (from 0x1F9E000 to 0x1FEA800) being seemingly directly taken from the game's original arcade release, there are numerous tiles which refer to songs that are not playable here.

Furthermore, there's a couple more leftover graphics from the arcade release, namely, fragments of splash graphics used in that game and ranking screen genre tiles.

Free Mode#

At 0x43800 is a package which mostly contains sprites for Free Mode. Within the sheet for the character portraits, there are still palettes for Dia and Donna, the characters of the removed songs Bit of Love and LET ME FEEL SO HIGH.

In addition to this, at 0x2021800, which contains the genre graphics meant for that mode's song selection screen, also has blank slots in blue and red colors.

Unused Palettes#

Kate#

Kate has an alternate version of her 1P palette in her character sheet (0x295000), which colors her pants magenta, her shoes purple, and the stripes on her skirt a green hue.

Kelly#

Oddly, Kelly still has the previous game's total screen palettes in her character sheet (0x3A8000).
