Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo

This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo is the "first Yoyovania", which apparently means a Zelda-like game about corporate corruption.

To do:

  • More unused enemies (hedgehog and mimic), as well as at least one unused NPC (doorman)
  • Unused ability (chargedSpin, found in proto_sandbox map)
  • Loads of unused maps, all viewable via the map editor
  • Some unused/template areas of used maps
  • Unused sprites/renmants of removed badges (travelMedallion, jumpHeightUp, jumpInvulnerability, stringedYoyoSpeedUp)

Cheats#

In-game cheats can be enabled on PC using the button combination of Select+Y+R (or equivalent, depending on controller a different face button may be necessary). Doing so gives access to New Game+ without actually needing to beat the game. Cheats do not remain enabled between launches of the game.

Doing so while loaded in game enables "dev mode", which exposes a number of hidden dev objects.

Level Select#

Enabled cheats also adds in a level select via a "New Game from Scenario" option:

All saves made with this menu will have "dev mode" persistently set to be true, even if cheats are later disabled.

This menu can also be enabled by editing settings.json in the game save directory such that "cheatJutsuUsed": true. Using the menu this way does not create "dev mode" save files.

Unused Enemies#

Cosplay Mage#

Likely intended to be used in the Fadalins Neighborhood/FadaFest area, based on the name. Has a single attack that creates a large cross that harms Pippit if he stands in it. The cross is untextured.
