Panorama Cotton

This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

Panorama Cotton, the third entry in the Cotton series, consists of a brand-new 3D perspective that expands on the previous sidescrolling Cotton games, starring the magical adventures of Cotton and Silk on a quest to stop all of the monsters from burning all of the precious Willows, following up after the events of Fantastic Night Dreams.

Unused Sprites#

This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically:

  • Cotton has a variety of unused zoomed out sprites, showing that she is far away from the camera. See if you can find them and put them here. (Identify if Silk's playable sprites also has these variations.)

Scenario 3#

Willow#

A Mini-Willow sprite that assessed from the VDP in the beginning of Scenario 3 during Cotton's close-up before disappearing when Cotton talks, this sprite cannot be seen at all in the cutscene.

Unused Voice Clips#

There are several unused Cotton voicelines that can be played in the Sound Test under Options.

Voice ID 9#

Cotton yelling "Thunder!" Casting the Thunder spell in-game uses a different voice clip instead.

Voice ID 18#

Cotton remarking "休んで, と?", or "Taking a break, huh?". Intended for when you pause the game, as is the case in other Cotton games.

Version Differences#

This page or section needs more videos.
There's a whole lotta words or pictures here, but not enough videos. Please fix this.
Specifically: The cutscenes in the Strictly Limited Games version are much slower and contain some oddities. Find some footage for comparison.

During the early planning stages and according to Hideki Tamura, one of the developers who worked on this game states that Panorama Cotton was originally a 2D sidescrolling as a Multiplayer mode was intended where Knit would be playable. However, later when the game transitioned into more of 3D shooter, the ideas were completely scrapped as Knit would only appear in the story.
