Paint by DS: Military Vehicles is pretty much Paint by DS with a new coat of paint and Tamiya model vehicle box-art instead of old paintings. Most of that blame can be placed on the European version, though - the original release at least tried to be noticeably different from its base.
Unused Graphics#
test/mercury_games and test/turtle_games are unused logos for the publishers Mercury Games and Turtle Games. Both of them would have a hand in publishing a different game in the series, Crazy Frog Collectables: Art School, with the latter screen being used there.

Within the folders arai and JP/suda are title_01_1 and title_01_2, graphics for an early version of the first game's Japanese title screen. The font for the title's first half was changed, a DS was added to the end of the second half, and copyright information for Ertain was added to the bottom screen.
More unused leftovers from the first game; it's the unused "localized" trial version screens, as low-quality as ever.
The folder suda contains test_menu, an off-white screen with めぃん (main) written in red.

arai/Stage1 is an early version of the maze minigame's second stage. This file is only present in the original Japanese release.
Also unique to the Japanese version are the (unused) graphics for every mini-game from the original Paint by DS. All of them were used in the European version with some tweaks; see below for more information.
Regional Differences#
The Japanese version of Paint by DS: Military Vehicles has a gallery mode where you can view the box-art in its original form, and has no mini-games. The European version is basically the opposite, trading the gallery mode for the exact same mini-games from the original Paint by DS (though with some replacements for the Pixel Race's BGs).
