The game was released under the title of Mr. Do! vs. Unicorns in Japan.

Both Mr. Do! vs. Unicorns and earlier revisions under the Mr. Do's Castle name only include three kinds of block: the "standard" block, the "key" blocks, and the "skull" blocks. Later revisions added blocks marked with cherries, and in turn added an additional way to clear the scene by destroying all of said cherry blocks.
In addition, earlier revisions also completely lacked the bonus credit diamond. Both of these serve as artifacts of the game's initial life as a non-Mr. Do! title.
Unused Graphics#
Present only in the earlier revisions are these unused "treasure" graphics, which were completely overwritten in later revisions in favor of graphics for the diamond/"free game" cutscene. No color palette seems to directly match up with these graphics; this palette has merely been chosen for visibility.
