Midnight Landing

To do:

  • Language is set by dipswitch, but there are two revisions known to MAME: One with Japanese/English and the other with Japanese/German.
  • Determine if the Arcade Archives version changed anything.

Midnight Landing is the first of Taito's flight simulator games. The player must perform successful landings at eight different airports, all of which conveniently happen at Midnight so that the CPU doesn't tank itself rendering terrain.

Crash Handler#

MidnightLandingCrashHandler.png
This game has a handler for the standard 68000 exception vectors. It prints the name of the exception and the value of the program counter at the point of exception.

Secret Screen#

Get a high score ending in 00 or a multiple of 11 and enter the name OIB. On this screen, the player can enter their birthday and the current date (or any date, really).

The game will then generate a Biorhythm chart based on the two dates provided.
