The Japanese version features the game's title written in katakana beneath the logo. Rather than removing this portion of text entirely, it was translated (although with a small typo) in the international versions, resulting in a degree of redundancy.

By default, the US version requires 2 coins to start the game, while the other versions requires only one. As such, the credit instructions were removed.

The beautiful, attractive and busty Egyptian princess is called Titi in Japan, which is a clever reference to the Egyptian queen Nefertiti. In Japan her name looked fine, but controversial elsewhere (especially in the US). This is because her name could be easily vandalized with the slang term "Titty". As result, to avoid any form of vandalization, she was renamed Chaos outside Japan.

Totally no references to the Sonic's character of the same name.

Due to the reason explained above, the frantic and spooky Jiāngshī (Chinese Vampire) is called Chaos in Japan and Titi elsewhere, though Titi doesn't fit very good as a name for a Jiāngshī.
