Map Select#
During the Sega logo, press A, B, C, C, B, A on Controller 2. If done correctly, a "Map" option will be present at the bottom of the options menu.
Oddities#
Music Oddity#
Almost every song in the soundtrack is internally programmed two semitones higher than what they're played as in-game. This is also true for Game Freak's later Sega title, Pulseman. The "Sega" jingle is the only exception.

Cutscene-Only Collision#
The player can stand on top of the heads of the NPCs in the classroom scene in the first stage, unlike other similar scenes where there's no such collision. This is actually achievable in regular gameplay, but requires frame-perfect jumps to build enough momentum and jumping distance just before the game takes away player control.
