This is a sub-page of Madness Accelerant.
General Graphics#
Item#
A box that says 'ITEM.'
Ladder#
A very simplistic ladder.
Eye#
A crudely drawn eye.
Shield#
A crudely drawn shield likely related to the Survival Mode, which eventually turned into Madness Hydraulic. In that game, there were upgrades that would increase Hank's health, so maybe this was an early icon relating to that.
Fist#
A crudely drawn fist. Like the shield, it is also likely related to Survival Mode for upgrading Hank's strength in a way.
Red Plus Sign#
A red plus sign, most likely relating to healing in a way.
Original Tricky Assets#
Assets of Tricky from the original Madness Combat series, not resembling the art style of this game at all. Perhaps used as reference?
Credit Icons#
Icons that would've been used in the credits for certain people, however these do not show up in the latest version of the game.
Basic Stage Assets?#
Some basic black shapes. May be related to a test level in some way.
Red Cracked Door#
A placeholder graphic of a door with a red crack above it.
Yellow Doorframe#
A large, yellow doorframe.
Yellow Doors#
Some yellow doors.
Yellow Squares#
Some hollow, yellow squares of varying sizes.
Cross#
A hastily drawn X. Oddly, according to the files of the game, this is meant to be displayed on top of the option for Normal Mode, which doesn't really make a whole lot of sense.
Yellow Windows#
Some placeholder graphics for the windows of the building seen in the beginning of the game.
Golden Gun#
Assets of a golden version of one of the guns found in the game. None of the guns in the game take on this golden color.
Red Circle#
A messy red circle. Within the files, there are multiple duplicates of it in varying sizes, and it has an animation of it spinning.
Numbers#
Numbers going from 0 to 9.
Madness Regent Leftovers#
As this game was built off of Madness Regent, there are several graphics from that game that made their way here.
Zombies#
A zombie. Unless you count Tricky, no zombies show up in this game.
Reformed Zombies#
Graphics relating to defeated zombies reverting back into regular Grunts. As Zombies do not appear in this game, these graphics go unused.
Welder Grunt#
The Welder Grunt. They do not appear anywhere in this game.
Jebus#
Jebus, as he appears in Madness Regent. He does appear at the end of the game, but this sprite in particular goes unused.
Dancing Grunt#
A dancing Grunt as seen in Tricky's party. Although a dancing Grunt does appear at the beginning of the game, it performs a different dance compared to this once.
TV#
A TV from the scene right before Tricky's dance party and the opening of the game. No screen like this appears in this game, as you might expect.
Blue Static#
Some blue static. This appeared in Madness Regent on a few of the screens, but it goes unused here.
Ammo Text#
Some text relating to the ammo count from Regent. In Accelerant, an icon of a bullet is used instead.
Debug Graphics(?)#
Several graphics relating to the game's development can be found in the files, most notably in certain assets for the various maps seen in the game. Note that unless stated otherwise, all these assets also appear in Madness Regent and Madness Hydraulic.
Camera#
A crudely drawn yellow camera. Perhaps relating to cutscenes?
BOTTOM Text#
A yellow line, with matching yellow text below it that says 'BOTTOM.' This most likely is related to the bottom of an area's boundaries.
TOP#
Like the above graphic, but has the text 'TOP' located on top of the line. Like the Bottom graphic, this is most likely related to the top of an area's boundaries.
Right Arrow#
A vertical yellow line with an arrow pointing towards it. Like the two graphics above, this is most likely related to the boundaries of an area
Left Arrow#
Like the above graphic, but this time pointing left. Also most likely related to an area's boundaries.
BG#
A white circle with the letters BG within it, more than likely referring to the backgrounds.
O#
A green O, which can be seen in some unedited versions of the maps.
Plus#
A pink and white plus sign, also used for debugging as seen in some maps.
F#
The letter F. As seen in the untouched map graphics, it glows a slight yellow.
Green Bar#
A green bar of unknown purpose.
