Sub-Page#

Unrandomized "Heading Out?" Mode#

The floor schedule in "Heading Out?" mode is usually generated randomly, but if you hold Left + Select while confirming the "select display" menu, it will override the randomization and the number of floors selected, and play all the floors in the selected skill level (30 in Easy, 50 in Average, 40 in Hard) exactly once in order according to the game's internal numbering.

The floors are still subject to being randomly inverted vertically, though - the code skips seeding the RNG, so the set of levels that are inverted will always be the same unless you have played an earlier round of "Heading Out?" to affect the seed.

Careful Movement Mode#

Not documented in the manual, holding B disables movement auto-repeat. Pressing and holding the D-Pad will move the player character just once. You have to release the D-Pad and press it again to take another step.
