Early Podium
JobSim-EarlyPodium.png

An early podium for the Job Museum, showcasing the first ever Kitchen design (which was also shown in the first known Job Simulator gameplay video.), this Podium has a turn-table for the hologram, as well as a place on the left and middle for information about the jobs.

Unused Jobs and Mods#

Chemistry Lab Job#

This job (referred to as "ChemLab" in the files) has nothing remaining but code for it in builds of the game. A good idea of what the job would've entailed can be pieced back together, due to its Manager still existing in the files of retail.

The Job would of consisted of the player making various chemical reactions. Leftovers for the Chemicals and Object States are:

ObjectStates
: Basic
: Frozen
: Burning
Chemicals
: Red
: Green
: Blue
: Bleach
: LiquidNitrogen
: Embiggening
: Smallening
: Water

Bar Job#

This job is only referenced in OwlchemyVR/GameSettings. It is very likely this was a previous version of Gourmet Chef, as that environment is a Bar and Grill.

"Backyard" Job#

This job would have consisted of the player being a performer in some form of backyard party. Just like the Chemistry Lab job, this job's Manager also still remains.

Leftovers for the task are as follows:

BackyardManager
: childrenBusy
: childGoingUpToFront
: ChildrenImpressedByMagic
: SendUpNextChild
:: ChildGoesUp

There are also leftover GameBehaviors for a "MagicReceiver".

"Cashier" Job#

This job is only referenced in OwlchemyVR/GameSettings and it is very likely this was a previous version of Convenience Store.

Classroom Job#

This job has a few things leftover in final, mainly GameBehavior's and a few meshes.

GameBehavior's#

AstronomyStationController
ArtStationController

Meshes#

ClassroomDesk
An unfinished (in terms of UVs) mesh of a desk.

Classroom Door Model
Three meshes: one for the door itself, one for the glass on the door, and one for the handle.

Underwater Mod#

This mod has very little leftover, and seemingly would of just applied a "Underwater" Reverb effect to the games audio.

NightVision Mod#

This mod has very little leftover, just its entry.

Turbo Mod#

Just like NightVision, this mod also has nothing leftover besides it's field.

Game Dev Mod#

Leftover in the game files are various assets for a "Game Dev" modifier for the Office Job. It's possible this was either:
A) It was used to pitch the game to Sony, seeing as it uses official PSN branding.
B) It was originally intended to be the PSVR replacement for the Dollhouse Mode modifier, as PSVR lacks this modifier.
C) Just canned because they didn't want to have job-specific modifiers.

When used on any Job but the Office job, this would appear on the ground in front of the player.

Task Icons#

Various icons intended for said Office Job Mod, including a PlayStation 4 (with Sony branding intact!) and a disc mentioning PSVR directly.

The Sprite files for this sheet are labelled (from left to right) as follows:

Textures#

Most of the remaining items for this mod are stuff that would have been viewable in the hub.

Overtime Cartridge#

While Infinite Overtime is used in the final game, it was originally meant as a Job Modifier, and has data leftover in the final game that still works, and can still be re-enabled with use of UnityExplorer.

Oddities#

JobBoard Icons#

BossBot's Icon has an earlier rendition of his design, using a different model that does not have the "Generic Bot 5000" text, no "BossBot" nametag, and a slightly altered color scheme for his clothing.

PSVR Leftovers#

To do:
The PSVR headset model is also present.

While these are not unused in the PSVR version of the game (seeing as they are well, meant for that) they do appear in the PCVR and Oculus Quest versions of the game, and are never used.

Text#

Behaviors and text relating to the PSVR Set-up menu.
