Japanese Goblin is yet another title-swapping puzzle shovelware hentai game that contains 0% Goblins and 100% Goblin Slayer (minus the affiliation and Goblin Slayer himself).

It was delisted due to the nudity content in the game, coinciding with the delisting wave of other lewd-looking Switch games during 2022. While its uncensored Windows PC Steam cousin was released months after its Nintendo eShop delisting, it was later re-released on the Switch eShop as Hentai: Japanese Goblins... which removes the nudity. History repeats itself on a Nintendo system.

Revisional Differences#

While this article primarily covers the two Nintendo Switch versions for comparison, the Windows version has a minor change worth noting and is discussed on this page for the sake of convenience.

Windows Version#

Released on Steam, this version contains one minor change that disables the "Magic button", which auto-solves the tile pieces of a level by pressing R3/clicking on the Right Stick, a feature from previous Hentai series games. This change was later carried over to the Switch rerelease.

Apart from that, this version also exclusively features Steam achievements, obtained by completing entire puzzles of each level.

Hentai: Japanese Goblins#

The Nintendo Switch re-listing contains v1.0.1, which also happened to be an update to the existing Japanese Goblins Switch version (being v1.0.0).

The title screen (with some modifications), HOME Menu icon, and game title were changed to reflect the new name, as well as removing all art assets depicting bare breast nudity.

Nudity Removal#

This update also removes any forms of artwork depicting full nudity. However, partial nudity and bizarrely, forms of bondage, are still kept in the game. Not only is the nudity artwork disabled, the game progression was also modified to accommodate for the removed artworks.

Unlike the other Hentai series games that usually kept the unused nudity art graphics, this update outright removed art graphics depicting nudity from the game files.
