This is a sub-page of Honkai Impact 3rd.

This needs some investigation. |
This version was found on display phones in Huawei stores in China around July 2018. Its APK package was later extracted.
From the application package name (com.miHoYo.enterprise.NGHSoBak) and the "崩坏3演示特制版" ("HONKAI IMPACT 3 Demo Special Edition") text on the game launch screen, it can be inferred that this demo was created by miHoYo specifically for enterprise customization requirements.
Internal version 2.4.0.
Leftover Stuff
All level Lua scripts, dialogue text, and all item information up to version 2.4.0 are left in this debugging version.
Basically, the main interface texture of the official game is almost completely left over in this demo,
and the data includes a small portion of the content from the old version of the game's main body data that cannot be downloaded now.
From the Lua script, it can be seen that there are a large number of debugging levels in the game, which have been added to the main page.
There are early unused versions of textures that describe attribute conflicts remaining in the game, and the font of the text is Japanese kanji.
Levels#
The demo includes three levels.
The first level is a level in the 2018 Summer Event, which implies that this offline demo version might used to promote the 2018 Summer Event.
This may be related to the cessation of ISBN issuance in 2018. Due to the reorganization of Chinese government departments, ISBNs used to legally distribute games in China were suspended from April to November 2018, which meant that no new games could be legally launched in China during this period.
These levels are set as character trial levels and have the same "Act.1 Prelude 1-A" title.
Technical#
This version does not require an internet connection to access all levels. At the same time, as a demonstration of Huawei GPU Turbo technology, the visual effects have been reduced.
Normally, running the game on devices that only support OpenGL ES2.0 may result in Valkyrie's clothing textures not displaying correctly due to the lack of support for some OpenGL extensions, and the semi-transparent effect used for leaves may also be incorrectly displayed in purple. However, in this demo these errors will not occur.
Further, the demo can run at ~30FPS with the highest preset at a resolution of 800×480 on low-performance devices like the Mali-400 MP@500Mhz (about 4.5 GFlops). The retail game, meanwhile, cannot run above 10FPS on the Mali-400 MP even in the lowest setting.
The material resolution of the demo version is also lower than the retail game, clearly designed for a 720p screen resolution, but 3D rendering within the level will be rendered at maximum resolution. In fact, on Huawei/Honor phones equipped with GPU Turbo technology, if it is a model before 2019, the rendering resolution will not exceed 720p, thus revealing how GPU Turbo works. If the Huawei/Honor phone has USB debugging enabled, GPU Turbo will not continue to reduce the rendering resolution when the screen resolution is 720p.
