Anti-Piracy#
The game runs a simple SRAM integrity check on bootup to ensure that up to 8KB of SRAM is included. If more than 8KB of SRAM is detected, the game jumps to arbitrary code based on how much SRAM was detected which effectively crashes the game. Cartridge copiers tend to include a large amount of SRAM to support a variety of games, which trips the anti-piracy check, but having less than 8KB of SRAM will allow the game to still boot normally, although saving would likely be broken.

Region Error#
If the game detects that it is running on a PAL region console, it will jumpscare you with this message.
