Galaga is the sequel to Galaxian, which turned out to be pretty successful and much better than its predecessor, to the point where it's often mistakenly seen as being the first game in the series.
Sub-Pages#
Unused Graphics#
This unused ship is found amongst the point graphics. Unlike the enemy and player graphics, it has no rotated frames.
There is also a second palette swap for it, but it is simply a color switch.
Maybe an alternate tractor beam graphic?
A 500-point graphic, but no enemies have this value.
Easter Egg#
In Service Mode, hold Button 1 and press Right (×5), Left (×6), Right (×3), Left (×7). If done correctly, "©1981 NAMCO LTD." will appear on-screen.

No Fire Bug#
In earlier revisions of Galaga, if you keep 2 of the left most aliens alive and around 15 minutes, missiles will stop firing at you for the rest of the game. This was fixed in later revisions.
Two Credit Game#
In the first Midway revision of Galaga, by setting the first dip switch on and starting a two player game, you will instead start a 1 player game with twice the number of lives plus 1. This was removed in the second Midway revision, and is not present in any Namco revision.
