Taito saw how very popular was their Toaplan-developed Sky Shark, so they said "Let's made our own take!"
How it went? Well, pretty good, actually. It plays good, has good sountrack, colorful graphics and balanced difficulty. Unfortunately, the game suffered from being too generic and it struggled in the arcades (especially on reaching the same massive success of Sky Shark). As result, the game was a "modest" success for Taito.
Stage Select#
- Press and hold the Service Credit button as soon as you power the board on.
- When the SERVICE SWITCH ERROR screen appears, immediately release the Service Credit button (you have 5 seconds to release it or the Easter egg won't work).
- Then press Start (x3) followed by the Service Credit button once followed by Start for a final time.
Use P1 Down to select the starting round (1-6) then P1 Start to start the game. You'll start the game with 255 lives, although the game can only show a maximum of 99 on-screen so it will show 54 to start with (255 minus the one you're currently playing with) but it will still maintain the correct count of lives internally. Also the high score is set at zero when the egg is activated (rather than the usual 50000).

Regional Differences#
Copyright Notice#
Typical from arcade games, the Japanese display a standard export copyright notice on boot. The World version doesn't have an equivalent notice, and instead go straight to the Taito logo followed by the title screen.

Just like most Taito games on the era, the sole difference in the title screen is the Taito's copyright.
