The FC Compact 88 in 1 is a Famiclone console in a Famicom-style case sold in Japan, containing 88 Nice Code "classics" built-in as well as a working cartridge slot.
Unused Games#
A whopping 33 unused games are present in the ROM. The following games cannot be accessed from the menu:
- Burry
- Mine
- Aether Puzzle
- Sleuth
- Tadpole
- Match Cards
- Aquarium
- Cursed Pond
- Busy Bar
- Aimless
- Final Man
- Dragon Den
- Pounce
- Ilk Cards
- Russia
- Star Fighter
- The Farmer
- Man In Red
- First Defender
- Blocks Array
- Warfront
- Box In Box
- Patternmaker
- Bubble
- Devil Rider
- Moto Rushing
- Partner
- Gallop
- Motoboat
- Blobman
- Kangaroo
- Rabbits Crisis
- Mice Mission
Burry was likely omitted from the menu because it requires a light gun to play, but it's not known why the other 32 games can't be accessed.
Unused Graphics#
The menu graphics contain an unused 9 in the "88 in 1" font, suggesting that more games were planned to be accessible from the menu. The order the menu font is arranged in suggests that Burry was intended to be the second game on the list and was removed at the last minute.
Revisions#
The Games Xplosion is a plug n play controller (without a cartridge slot) sold in North America, which includes an almost identical internal selection of games to the FC Compact. The following changes were made by comparison:
- All of the unused FC Compact games are now accessible from the menu, with the exception of Burry which was removed from the ROM entirely. The games present on both consoles are presented in the same order, but the additional games on this version are interspersed among them.
- Lightning and Through Lonely were added to the list of games, replacing Aether Base and the unused Burry.
- The menu uses different graphics and adds background music.
- Several games had the name changed on the menu between versions, erroneously mislabeling two of the games as the wrong game entirely in the process:

- Busy Bar is also incorrectly listed as "Crossing". Unlike the other incorrect names, no Nice Code game by this name is known to exist.
- The Training Camp of Worms and Indreak in the Conduit had their in-game names shortened to The Worms and Indreak respectively.
- All games which originally had 2-player modes were edited to be 1-player only, as the Games Xplosion has no input for a second controller.
- Two other games are hidden in the Games Xplosion ROM: Grot Kid and Icarian. These were likely omitted as the former plays identically to Cub Adventure, while the latter is a glitched version of First Defender with a different title.
