Space Base showcases the ever present threat of having to protect a base in space from space airplanes and space birds. The Nice Code staff were proud enough of this one to use their own (misspelled) names on the high score table.
Developer Credits#
As with many Nice Code games, pressing Up, Down, Up, Left, Right, Left, B on the title screen will briefly display a credits screen. Space Base lacks the "Nature Color Game" (an alias used by Nice Code) text found on most other Nice Code credit screens. PJ most likely refers to the Power Joy series of Famiclones which many Nice Code games have been released on.

Aether Base#
An alternate version of this game exists which changes the title screen and music, and removes the 2 player option.
Uniquely, the credits screen was updated to remove the staff credits leaving only the "PJ" ASCII art. Additionally, the purple background color used for all interstitial screens was changed to black, and all of the default scores on the high score table (with the exception of Bysoter's score) were lowered from 100,000 to 70,000. This screen was not updated to account for the 2 player mode being removed, however.
