The Game Gear Ecco the Dolphin is a watered-down (no pun intended) port of the Genesis game.
It's practically Ecco the Minnow now.

Press Right, 1, 2, 1, 2, Down, 2, Up on the map screen. Features include a stage select, sound test, and message viewer plus toggles for invincibility and noclip.
