Devil Kings was actually the original Sengoku Basara, essentially ruined by all the changes Capcom USA made to it.

Regional Changes#

The game went through heavy changes when it was localized. All historical Japanese story was cut and replaced with a fictional story, all historical names were changed to fictional names, 4 playable characters were changed to non-playable characters, difficulty levels were tweaked, many skills were changed and removed, some stages were changed heavily, "Prime Attack" system was added, etc.
