Death To Spies

Death To Spies is the first installment in Haggard Game's Hitman-inspired Stealth series.

To do:

Unused HUD element#

The image in the UI folder called "hud_rukzak.tga" is an unused part of the HUD that can be seen in early screenshots, it appeared behind the health bar. (next to a second unknown bar absent in the final game.)

Unused HUD Icons#

"hud_icons.tga" has some unused icons:

The Icon with an officer appears in early trailers and can be seen with a yellow filter, judging by context on where it appears, it appears to have been the original icon for showing if an NPC was looking at you.

The crossed out PPSH icon might have been a warning icon for carrying suspicious weapons. (The final game uses a universal exclamation icon with a message appearing when you change disguises with suspicious weapons/backpacks that will compromise your disguise.)

It is unknown what the Knife Icon was intended for.

An icon identical to the eye icon is used for when enemies can see the player but without the vision cone in the image.

Unused Uniform#

While "SovietSoldier" and "SovietOfficer" uniforms are used during the training mission, a third Soviet Uniform with a cloth hat is available via console commands called "Soviet", it is not available to the player normally.

Gewehr 43 Magazines#

The player can never obtain Gewehr 43 magazines as every NPC carrying one only carries a copy of the weapon and no spare ammo, however via console commands, it is possible to obtain Gewehr 43 magazines and they are fully functional and identical to the next game, Moment of Truth where Gewehr 43 magazines appear normally and can be used by the player.

Europe/North American cutscenes#

The European and North American versions have two entirely different dubs for the pre-mission cutscenes.
