Countdown: The Game is a DS title based on the long-running British game show aired by Channel 4.
Likewise, the original French release is based on the long-running game show Des Chiffres et des Lettres, which Countdown was derived from. Based on the credits, this version was a port of a 2005 Windows/Macintosh game originally developed by Hyptique.
Unused Graphics#
Thumbnail Database#
The folder data\image in the original French release contains a Thumbs.db file, used for storing thumbnail data in older versions of Windows. Within it are thumbnails for two files labeled PALETTE_B.bmp and PALLETE_B.bmp, which depict sprite sheets. Their last modification dates are June 13 and July 8, 2008, respectively.
Unused Logo#
Found in the UK release only is an unused variation of the RingZero Game Studio logo, at the path data\Menu\LogoState\CGS_logo. It has a black background and the text "cgs-ringzero"; the "cgs" stands for "Creative Game Studio", which appears to have been this developer's original name34. It's worth noting that while the DS release of Ready Steady Cook: The Game has a logo with the text "Creative Game Studio", it is similar to the used graphic in this game, having a white background.

Devkit Output Leftover#
The folder data\child, in addition to the .srl ROM image used for multiplayer mode, also contains a .nlf file, which is a debugging text file, generated by a SDK, which lists the contents of this ROM image. The contents of these .nlf files are listed below:
