One of the largest cut mechanics was Prisoners of War (POW). All non-hero infantry could be captured by basic infantry (Ranger, Red Guard and Rebel) through non-lethal measures (flash-bangs, stun bullets and tranq darts), collected by POW Trucks and delivered to a special place where they could provide certain powers. Every non-hero infantry unit has his own voice set when surrendering (suffix "su"). Basic infantry also has two voice sets for switching to non-lethal and lethal weapons and a special attack voice set when non-lethal weapon is chosen, and all three POW Trucks have fully recorded voice lines. Almost everything aforementioned was scrapped along with corresponding sound files.

Switching weapon quotes#

Ranger has his switching weapon quotes used due to flashbangs survived the cutting room floor. Red Guard and Rebel failed to conserve them, however. Also there are no stun bullet quotes for Red Guard, and the only one about them is internally marked as upgrade quote. Strangely, there's no upgrade quote about Tranqilazer Darts for Rebel, which might indicate they were available from the start.

Capture quotes#

They would be used with "Attack" command when non-lethal weapon is chosen. Ranger has his capture quotes used as well, and they actually sound strange in the game - they point to non-lethal actions, but flashbangs theirselfes are as lethal as any other weapon. Must be an oversight.
