Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight throws the traditional mechanics of the franchise out the window and opts for a more straightforward point-and-click action strategy experience, along with having always-online DRM.
Naturally, this didn't go down well with fans, to the point where the game has the dubious honor of being the second-worst-rated game on Steam as of 2025 (with only War of the Three Kingdoms faring worse), as well as marking an end to the Command & Conquer series with EA Los Angeles being dissolved shortly after.
