Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer

In Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, e-Reader cards are back with a vengeance! Buy the hundreds of compatible amiibo cards today!

A lot of the features found in this game (such as the Touch Screen furniture arrangement tool) were ported into New Leaf via its Welcome amiibo update.

Unused Graphics#

A dummy image featuring a television. This image can be found in a couple of archives.

Three dummy door textures. The first one here doesn't suit the proper size for doors. The latter two contain mirrored designs for a front and back to the door.

A white dummy door texture along with its final version. These are very similar in design to Animal Crossing: New Leaf‍ '​s dummy door texture. Only New Leaf's brown dummy door returns in Happy Home Designer.

A guideline meant specifically for pants/bottoms.

Also back from New Leaf is this design dummy texture. It doesn't appear nearly as often.

Unused Regional Content#

Various landmarks in the game have versions with Korean localized textures. Happy Home Designer never got localized into Korean, so these go unused.

16 unused villagers' client icons can be found in romfs/Layout/IconNpc. All of them would later return in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo.

In addition, Snowboy along with the other Snowpeople have their own client icons. Since they don't appear as clients in game, their icons go unused.

Unused Models#

Four other unused villagers remain in the files as unfinished models. They can be found in romfs/Npc/Normal.
