  Gen is keeping a secret. **Please do not reveal the following yet:** In the freezer at Brahman, there is a body Amame entrusted to him. Amame said, "Komeji picked up the body." It is obvious the body is connected to the case. Gen doesn't think Amame or Komeji are the culprit. However, what happens when the true culprit is caught? The body's location is found -> the investigation will eventually find that Komeji stole it. In the process, Gen will be accused of hiding the body. Moreover, his dearest Amame might be caught! That's why, to protect Amame and himself, Gen lied on the spot and said, "I don't know about the balloons."
  
• In his heart
  Gen was created from fertilized eggs that were genome-edited at Horadori Institute. The experiment's objective was achieving immortality. But because of that, his skeleton is unsightly and warped. His skin is rugged like a rock for that reason. He no longer harbors a grudge against Chikara. He has accepted reality and lives a simple daily life.

  Because of his appearance, Gen has been treated cruelly his whole life. He's drawn all manner of verbal abuse like "disgusting" and "monster." He's been scorned, ridiculed, spit on, punched, and kicked. Even so, Gen did not resist. He's patiently endured being kicked, punched, even having filth poured on his head. Because, if he were to swing his arm, he would kill someone.
  
  In elementary school, Gen sent some bullies flying and severely injured them. That was traumatic. Gen had such a tough body and muscles. So, he could only sit still and endure it. Even if he tried to take action for others, such as asking "Would you like me to carry that stroller to the top of the stairs?" he was told, "Stop, you're disgusting, you're a nuisance."
  
  Gen decided to hide himself and live modestly. That's how he decided to live, thinking, "People like me don't have a place in this society. It's an unneeded, futile existence."   I look like a monster. Love is ridiculous, it's got nothing to do with me. I thought that kind of thing was just an urban legend. I didn't think feelings of love actually existed in reality. Is this "love"...? But this love can never bear fuit, because I look so hideous... Oh, God is so cruel. I didn't want to know about love if I could. I wanted to live a calm and tranquil life where there is nothing, nothing happens, and I die quietly.
  
  I don't care about Horadori. The one I resent is this world's Creator. For making me look like this, and kicking me while I'm down by putting an unobtainable precious, innocent, pure and beautiful existence before my eyes! Oh, what a cruel act! What am I supposed to do with these writhing, scorching feelings.
