Briefing Map Difference

This is a sub-page of 25 to Life.

Anytime you get into singleplayer level, you can see a little 'briefing', with level introduction. It also has a "preview" of the level in the form of a screenshot, and the most interesting thing for us is that these screenshots contain early or pre-release versions of the maps.

Most of briefing screenshots, capped from multiplayer counterpart of this maps, so for the sake of clarity, we will compare it with MP_ maps.

Apartments#

  • Building 2, flat 22 has an open window. As in the single-player version, in the release this place is cut out.
  • There's no wooden plank making a passageway between the 4th and 3rd house.

Bordello#

Bordello is not a map from singleplayer, why there needs a briefing image - remains a mystery.

  • Difference between brake discs texture on a car.
  • Poster on the wall is not a Mexican flag, but it's impossible to understand what it depicts because of the poor screenshot quality.

Briefing

Mall#

  • In place of the Mp5k lies a first aid kit.
  • There is no first aid kit on the lower left floor but there is a box of ammunition next to it.

btw this is one of those maps that apparently really screencapped in singleplayer. Anyway pickups dont work in sp, and this location is boss-fight arena for Mendosa. But this does not mean that this location could not have been in an earlier version of mp_mall, as indicated by some screenshots of the same location but with players.
